The Chrysalis: Monarch School’s Center for the Arts provides a space for the community. From dance groups, the arts community, to community gatherings, we strive for this Center to be a hub of shared experiences and growth. Revenue from this space goes directly to programming supporting Monarch students and families.

FAQs

Usage of our space includes the use of our movable theater chairs, (6) black  folding tables, full stage lighting, sound system, and a on-call venue  supervisor. The use of the parking lot available at an additional cost (30 spaces).

All decor must be pre-approved with our event staff before the event day. No decor may be pinned, nailed, tacked or taped to the walls or windows. Painters tape, mylar tape and washi tape are allowed on the walls and windows. Gaffer tape is allowed for securing cords. Candles and open flames are not allowed. No fireworks, fog machines, confetti, or glitter allowed inside or outside the space. All decorations must be removed by the client by the end of contracted time.

Alcohol is permitted on the premises with a proper ABC license and a Licensed Beverage Catering Team. 

Our sound system is great for live music, production plays, and dance recitals. We have hanging speakers and microphones. However, if your sound needs require extra equipment, the responsibility is on you to rent the extra equipment.

We request that your music is shut off by 10:00pm and your event is cleaned up by 11:00 am to respect the surrounding neighbors.

You and your team of vendors are responsible for fully setting up our inventory yourself. We provide tables and chairs, however, if you choose to use our inventory, you are responsible for setting it all up to your liking. However, we need everything you bring for your event to be removed at the end of the night, including your decor and all rentals!

We require a 50% nonrefundable first payment upon signing the contract. We are happy to put a date on a tentative hold for you. If someone else requests your date, we ask that a contract is signed and payment is made within 48 hours to keep holding your date.

There are no taxes or service charges involved using our space. The only additional required fee is the refundable security deposit of $250 that is returned to you after the event pending no damages.

The usage fee and payment are not a donation due to goods or services being received. We do however re-utilize these funds to go directly to our programming supporting our Monarch School students and families.
