Video: Salute To Education

All of San Diego’s schools have the goal of giving their students what they need to succeed. But, in some cases, those needs are greater than others. Monarch School serves San Diego’s homeless kids from kindergarten through high school, giving them an education, but also providing for other needs like food, clothing and counseling. About 40% of San Diego’s homeless are families, and between 600-700 students a year come through Monarch.
